2High Festival on the Coast

Brisbane’s youth performing arts institution, 2high Festival, will make its debut on the Gold Coast next year as part of the coastal arts and music celebration, Bleach* Festival. For Bezzina the 2high partnership is a welcomed culmination of her professional and personal involvement. “2High is very special to me, as it was really where it all began for me 12 years ago. After being mentored I gained my first professional arts job as a result, and in turn I have mentored some gorgeous young people as my career has progressed. 2High is an institution in Brisbane, with many people in professional arts positions having had some sort of an affiliation with 2High, either as mentor or mentoree. It is my honour to work with my lovely colleagues at Backbone Youth Arts, Andrew Corey (Artistic Director) and Rebecca Smith (2High Festival Director) to bring this wonderful initiative to the Gold Coast as part of Bleach*” Bezzina said.
