In the vein of South by South West, Rethink is partnering with the Bleach* Festival as part of the Coworking by the Beach activation to bring the first Rethink conference to the Gold Coast. The day is designed to showcase advanced thinking and ambitious experiments with leading pioneers and provacateurs from around the world.
• Explore Disruptive Ideas
• Learn about Real World Fixes
• Get Inspired & Get Started
Rethink is a global community and destination for interesting discussion, events and experiences. Originally inspired by Oscar Wilde’s view that everything popular is wrong, Rethink started as an ideas briefing and interesting conversation on global affairs, business, design, culture, innovation, science and life.
Cherishing unconventional thinking and exploring what happens when we ask different questions, Rethink gathers the vanguard of business, creative and social leaders, opinion-formers and investors.
Fiercely independent and almost underground, Rethink has provided the backdrop for ever evolving and surprising ventures and adventures.
Join us for the first Rethink Conference as part of Bleach!

Marketing & Operations Black Milk Clothing
Three years ago Black Milk Clothing didn’t exist. Then one day in 2009, James Lillis sold a pair of leggings for $10 that he’d stitched together around his kitchen table. The dream was launched. Two and half years later Black Milk Clothing is a multi-million dollar, 100% Australian-owned business employing 150 people and selling out of everything they make… driven by an unbelievably loyal following of raving fans, 400,000+ of them on Facebook, alone! Not to mention the 50+ ‘meet-up’ groups that connect globally, all manned by volunteers who have a shared pasion and love for Black Milk. Oh, and they’ve done this on a modest marketing budget of ZERO DOLLARS! Yep, nudda. Zip!
So sit back, pull on some shiny leggings and listen up as Cameron Parker (Black Milk’s first employee) shares with us exactly how they’ve driven and encouraged their customers to post thousands of selfies every day across their entire social media and website using hash tags. Cameron has over 10 years of Marketing and Advertising experience working in Australia and the UK.
