The most popular event of Bleach* 2012, Bleach* Street returns in a new expanded format for 2013 as Bleach* Boulevard.
Bleach* Boulevard is a festival in itself featuring live music, theatre, workshops, the return of The Village Markets and the Alley Fish-Fry. Centered around the leafy thoroughfare of Tomewin St, Currumbin, and extending around to Currumbin beachfront, Bleach* Boulevard offers a smorgasbord of free entertainment over one jam-packed day and six locations.

Music Workshops
Currumbin Sanctuary, Lorikeet Arena Program:
Lucas Proudfoot’s Circular Rhythm
12.00pm - 1.00pm
Come on a journey into Indigenous culture with Lucas Proudfoot as he uses traditional and contemporary music and story to deliver a rich cultural learning experience.
NBN Television’s Big Dog will also be roaming around various Bleach* Boulevard locations to give kids a high five.
Samba - Brazilian Percussion Workshop
2.00pm - 3.00pm
Currumbin Sanctuary, Lorikeet Arena Program:
Audiences get the chance to join in with the Samba Blisstas as they perform carnival drumming inspired by the Brazilian tradition of street percussion. Also be sure to check out the free children’s workshops and face painting.

Beachology
11am, 1.30pm, 3pm
Children will uncover the natural wonder of the seaside environment and its ecosystems with informative hands-on exploration sessions. This is a FREE workshop and limited by numbers.
Face Painting
Free Face Painting for kids from 11-3pm. Located in the Lorikeet Arena of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Creative Craft Centre
11am-5pm
Great Beach themed craft activities for the kids will be provided at the Gold Coast Bulletin Bleach* Hub on both weekends of the festival. Located in the Lorikeet Arena of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, some of the craft activities on offer for the little ones include:

Candle Making
11.00am-2.00pm
Candle Making workshops use only natural, sustainable waxes such as soy, palm and beeswax.Using recycled moulds, natural dyes, and local suppliers. There is even a series of candles made from household materials and equipment (apart from the wax) for the serious eco-crafter. Kids will love learning how to craft their very own natural candles in this easy and fun workshop. Located in the Lorikeet Arena of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Oh My Tie Dye

Design and make you own tie Dye shirt with Oh My Tie Dye workshops, located in the Lorikeet Arena of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
THE VILLAGE MARKETS
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Car Park (facing Tomewin Street)
The Village Markets (TVM) - These much loved markets return to Bleach* this year in the shady environs of the car park. TVM is the original and best boutique creative market on the Gold Coast, showcasing over 75 fashion, arts and creative stalls.

NADIA AND THE BLUE FLAMINGO - Popular children’s entertainer Nadia Sunde presents her latest whimsical and heart-warming production in the intimate setting of the museum. 2.30pm & 4pm TICKETED EVENT UPDATE: Saturday 23rd Feb shows have SOLD OUT! There are some tickets left for Sunday times however they are selling fast. Book now to avoid disappointment.
LINSEY POLLACK”S LIVE & LOOPY - Linsey makes music by live looping instruments of his own making, like the saxillo, the rubber glove bagpipe and the carrot clarinet, using electric wizardry and DIY ingenuity. Adding voice-generated beats and ’70s funk samples, Linsey cunningly creates layers of music so that audiences can enjoy the process of composition as well as the product of performance. 11.30am TICKETED EVENT
Strange Fruit
Currumbin Beach Front, Pacific Pde
Strange Fruit on the Beach Front - Strange Fruit are a Melbourne-based performing arts company fusing theatre, dance and circus using a unique elevated medium. High atop five metre poles, performers bow and sway to impossible angles, creating a hypnotic dance that has to be experienced to be believed. With a world-renowned repertoire that celebrates a wide variety of themes and stories, the company has achieved near-cult status in almost every continent across the globe. 1.30pm, 3pm (20 minutes each performance)
The Alley Fish Fry
The Alley Fish Fry, now in its 7th year, is a unique event in the surfing world today. It is a non-competitive, non-commercial celebration of the boards we ride and the people who build them, all gathered together for us to enjoy. The perfect place for shapers to showcase their new shapes and designs, a melting pot of ideas. See a board you like and take it for a ride or swap boards with someone else. This is your chance to bring them along to share your experiences, be it a Mini Simmons, Hull, old-school Log, Fish or whatever you are having fun on. There will be shapers from many different backgrounds and parts of the planet to mingle with and talk to.

Night Boulevard

Weather Update
Due to the weather we will move Night Boulevard performance to Golden Four Dr Tugun from the BWS Samba Blisstas will proceed down Gold Four Dr towards Toolona St and commence the fun at Eat St
Elephant Rock (south side of the Currumbin Vikings Surf Club)
As night falls the action moves to the beach in front on the iconic Elephant Rock for a night of dazzling performances by The Samba Blisstas. The Samba Blisstas will lead the way from the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to the beach with a feast of Brazilian percussion.
