Based on the belief empty shops and buildings bring unwanted social deterioration, Gold Spaces acts as a catalyst for change by providing platforms to turn dormant spaces into temporary creative hubs. As a result, communities are empowered to pursue culturally beneficial projects, and economic fluidity is improved as areas become more attractive to prospective tenants.
Gold Spaces is based on the successful urban animation project Renew Newcastle, which uses temporary spaces to incubate projects and activities, while also contributing towards the activation of derelict areas and towns. Visit their website for more information at Gold Spaces
Bleach* would like to thank Gold Spaces and their board for coordinating the Bleach* Collective spaces listed above, for their curation of the Splash Collective space and for supporting Bleach*, space owners and creative individuals that fill these dormant spaces.
