Bleach* Opening Party

Bleach* Opening Party

About

Bands Oh Mercy, Loon Lake and Oceanics kick off the festival at the Bleach* Opening Party.

Melbourne’s ARIA and J Award nominated kings of indie disco Oh Mercy are set to lead the Bleach* opening party along with a line-up that is sure to keep the punters smiling.

Music lovers will be more than familiar with Oh Mercy and their three albums culminating with the Triple J featured album “Deep Heat”.

The new album has brought about a significant directional change for Oh Mercy, who were best known for their serious approach to song-writing until “Deep Heat” came along and confounded expectations. “Deep Heat” has left Oh Mercy with their most loved album to date and a reputation to bring the party.

Loon Lake are a surf rock band from Melbourne who have recently been one of the most played bands on Triple J with their killer new single “Cherry Lips”. These guys will be spending the lead up to Bleach* touring nationally as the main support for Ball Park Music and setting fire to festival stages across the summer.

Kicking off proceedings at our opening party, local cool kids Oceanics bring their indie stomp to their home-town. Things have certainly been hotting up lately for Oceanics with their latest single “The City” scoring some great college radio and blog action in the US of A.
