The Gold Coast will host the first global surf cities conference.

Surf City representatives from around the world will gather to discuss surf business, innovation, surf tourism, coastal management, governance and more.

The major aims of the conference are to establish a platform for networking among surf cities, develop globally sustainable surf industries, develop frameworks for international collaboration in surf industry education, employment and global career mobility.

A trade show will also take place, giving surf craft manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their products to a global audience.
