Do you love the Sea? What if you could become a Sea Creature for the night…?

Come join Curious Legends with their new show – Fever Dream – where YOU become a creature from the ocean! Featuring a giant, 8 metre long Stingray, you’ll be swept away in an interactive performance as part of the show. Light, colour, and a unique soundscape combine into an unforgettable experience for kids of all ages.

Incorporating a workshop pre-show, audience participants are invited to make handheld stingrays, illuminated with lighting tech from the Curious Legends Studio. Then… as darkness falls… join in the performance as Stingrays floating next to, around, and under Curious Legends’ illuminated giants! Soaring Pelicans, laughing giants and hugely wicked mudcrabs combine into an evening’s unforgettable performance.

The 3pm workshop for Fever Dream will be Auslan interpreted.
Participants wishing to be a part of the performance will also have access to an interpreter so that that they can be a part of the Fever Dream performance that evening.
See the Accessibility section below for more information.

“An enchanting display of giant illuminated puppets”
Secret Perth

Curious Legends are a theatre company that believes in the inherent wonder of the world around us. They aim to inspire kids and their adults to experience this through the magic of theatre. Their shows, workshops, and roving performances embrace laughter, magic, and the mysterious world of our imaginations.

Formed from humble beginnings in 2005, they have since grown their activities to encompass large-scale site-specific theatre, community cultural development, workshops, roving performances, and touring throughout Australia and overseas. While best known for their giant, illuminated puppets, their work encompasses a wide range of art forms, including multimedia, traditional theatre, and large-scale site-specific work.

Curious Legends are based in Newcastle, Australia, though their activities are national and international in scope.
