Join us in the golden light of late afternoon for an immersive musical experience.
A tapestry of twenty compact, untitled commissions from nineteen Australian composers are playlisted against fragmented miniatures from each of the last twelve centuries, performed by eight vocalists and conducted by Antony Pitts. National vocal ensemble, The Song Company, are vocal adventurers and cultural ambassadors engaged in the telling of new stories and the re-telling of ancient stories through vocalisation as old as the human voice itself. Breathtaking in its stylistic diversity and often virtuosic in its demands, be there and be moved by this transformative performance. The afternoon opens with musicians from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
