BACK TO BACK THEATRE WITH TRALALA BLIP, LAUREN WATSON AND TARA SALES
Presented by BLEACH*
Leave your assumptions at the door for the groundbreaking premiere of RADIAL, the culmination of a collaborative filmmaking process.
Internationally award-winning Back to Back Theatre, known for their powerful and entertaining work, took to car parks, rooftops and black box spaces with seven professional artists, some living with disability, to capture the beautiful idiosyncrasies of bodies, communities and landscapes – from all angles.
A playful merging of video art, dance, music and fashion, RADIAL features the electronic wizardry of Tralala Blip and acrobatic aerial performances by Lauren Watson and Tara Sales. Join us to watch this world-class company in action and celebrate the diversity of humankind.
Mixed-abilities ensemble Tralala Blip bring their signature ambient electronic pop music to the Gold Coast for one night only, accompanying the screening.
The event will take place in the outdoor area of the Burleigh Brewing space and patrons should come prepared to be exposed to the elements. Once inside the main Burleigh Brewing gate, the space is a fairly level, concrete surface. Seating will be provided, and patrons with specific seating requirements should get in touch with the BLEACH* team to ensure their needs can be accommodated.
Further details of Burleigh Brewing's physical access can be found on our Accessibility page.
The event will contain several components:
– A premiere screening of the short film RADIAL, which contains both sound and visual elements. The film will be captioned?
– A live performance by electronic music ensemble, Tralala Blip, containing both sound and visual elements.
The event will be Auslan interpreted.
The film of RADIAL will be available to view online shortly after the premiere date of the film.
