Meet at Justins Park Burleigh where the beachfront parkland hosts a program of cultural events from the 12th August. 

Gather with us on the sand to open the Festival with a dawn performance at First Light and complete the circle with the closing ceremony as dusk settles at Last Light.

Wash off your working week and be transported by the sea breeze and sonic alchemy on Friday the 13th with A Stolen Satellite and immerse yourself in an extraordinary sensory journey in Thunderhead – a live soundtrack responding to a single piece of video footage captured while driving along Highway 54 in Texas.

The weekend brings a day program of conversations, song and language workshops and fire making as we are blanketed by dusk.

Sunday brings together a hundred women and girls to create one, ginormous rock band for Massive Band followed by an exciting array of Gold Coast artists working in performance, spoken word, dance, music, theatre, film, circus, cabaret or comedy in Surfing the Fringe.

Enjoy a drink at the Bleach* Club opening from XXpm and breathe the balmy spring air and wander through the Norfolk Pines, illuminated by light sculptures, suspended from the trunks and branches above (Light Flower).

Please note at Burleigh only the Feasts are ticketed events but the rest of the events are free. However, due to COVID restrictions we require you to book. Check out the event pages and  register early to ensure your place.

Our Festival is operating under a COVID Safe Plan endorsed by the Queensland Government. Please be mindful of following the COVID Safe signage across the site and please see our staff or Festival Ambassadors if you need assistance.

To maximise your festival experience we recommend you plan ahead.  To help you do so here are some tips to keep happy and healthy during your visit.

Planning your visit to the BLEACH* Hub at Burleigh

  • plan your visit early and be comfortable for changes in the weather
  • limited seating available, bring beach chair or blanket
  • water station / bubbler on site so bring your own water bottles
  • plenty of amenities
  • food and beverage available from our BLEACH* Club located in centre of the Hub in Justins park
  • recycling and waste stations will be visible across the parkland
  • Wheelchair access and accessible toilet
  • Visit the City of Gold Coast Parking at Burleigh web page for information on what parking areas are metered and unmetered
  • There are over 430 free and untimed spaces along the beachfront between First Avenue and Kelly Avenue.
  • All beachfront parking north of First Avenue is free and unrestricted.
  • Paid parking applies to a small number of spaces on the beachfront at Goodwin Terrace
  • All day parking is available at Alex Black Carpark, to a maximum of $5 per day.
