Meet at Justins Park Burleigh where the beachfront parkland hosts a program of cultural events from the 12th August.
Gather with us on the sand to open the Festival with a dawn performance at First Light and complete the circle with the closing ceremony as dusk settles at Last Light.
Feast With Us on the opening evening and for the next two, on foods from the land, sea or further afar of global delights.
If dancing is your jam, join us at the Burleigh Hub to dance or just tap your retro toes to your favourite tunes of the Big Band Era with Swing Jam.
Wash off your working week and be transported by the sea breeze and sonic alchemy on Friday the 13th with A Stolen Satellite and immerse yourself in an extraordinary sensory journey in Thunderhead – a live soundtrack responding to a single piece of video footage captured while driving along Highway 54 in Texas.
The weekend brings a day program of conversations, song and language workshops and fire making as we are blanketed by dusk.
Alternately, get amped with a killer line-up of Australia’s finest contemporary HipHop artists and musicians with 4ESydneyXBLEACH*, headlined by the one and only Briggs.
Sunday brings together a hundred women and girls to create one, ginormous rock band for Massive Band followed by an exciting array of Gold Coast artists working in performance, spoken word, dance, music, theatre, film, circus, cabaret or comedy in Surfing the Fringe.
Enjoy a drink at the Bleach* Club opening from XXpm and breathe the balmy spring air and wander through the Norfolk Pines, illuminated by light sculptures, suspended from the trunks and branches above (Light Flower).
Please note at Burleigh only the Feasts are ticketed events but the rest of the events are free. However, due to COVID restrictions we require you to book. Check out the event pages and register early to ensure your place.
