JAMES TAWADROS AND MOHAMMED LELO
Presented by BLEACH* and Multicultural Families Organisation
Take a moment of reflection and experience the true heart of Lebanese culture at Qahwa (pronounced kah-wa) — قهوة — Arabic for cafe.
It’s a place where friends gather and connections old and new are forged under a canopy of stars and trees. Celebrate our raw humanness, and embrace the warmth of community to the backdrop of live music by Mohammed Lelo and James Tawadros at this magical, open-air venue. The virtuosic pair will transport you to the Middle East with the qanun, a zither-like instrument, and the req, a traditional drum.
QAHWA is a space to visit, in the style of a Lebanese cafe. Musical performances will take place in this venue.
The venue may have strong sensory elements - sounds, smells and even things to taste!
