Hosted and co-curated by renowned concert pianist Tamara-Anna Cislowska and visionary artist Tarita Botsman, the Australian premiere brings together some of the most daring and imaginative female composers and songwriters in the country.
A true masterpiece of sound, the program features works by Elena Kats-Chernin, Anne Boyd, Corinna Bonshek, Eve Klein, and Véronique Serret.

Distinguished artist Tarita Botsman is an award-winning opera singer, stage director and writer-lyricist-composer. Tarita made her European debut at Teatro Il Tempietto in Rome, Italy at the age of twenty-two, the same year she made her professional operatic debut as Papagena in The Magic Flute for Opera Queensland. During her operatic career, she performed over twenty operatic roles with companies in Australia, the UK and Germany. She is a passionate feminist and mentor for women working in the performing arts across multiple genres, and her broad-ranging arts experiences give her a unique international perspective.
Tamara-Anna Cislowska is one of Australia’s most acclaimed, ARIA award-winning pianists, performing and recording in Australia and internationally to critical and public acclaim. Earning international prizes in London, Italy and Greece such as the Rovere d’Oro, and touring Japan and the USA as cultural ambassador for Australia, Tamara’s accolades include ABC Young Performer of the Year, the Freedman Fellowship, an Art Music Award for ‘Performance of the Year’ (ACT) and the 2015 ARIA award for 'Best Classical Album'. Performing as soloist with leading orchestras around Australian and overseas, as Music Director for special projects and radio presenter on ABC Classic, Cislowska collaborates with leading arts companies such as the ACO and CIRCA, and artists as varied as Anne-Sophie Mutter, Lang Lang, Robert Murray and Dawn Upshaw.
This event is a music-based work, with sound and visual components throughout. Sight is not essential to be able to engage with the work.
Once through the gates, the event site is relatively flat with a raised stage. During periods of wet weather, the grassed surface can become quite damp and in certain areas, muddy. Patrons using wheelchairs or with mobility challenges are strongly encouraged to read the site information on the general Accessibility page.
Patrons are encouraged to bring their own seating (picnic rug/camp chair etc.) for this event, however a small amount of seating will be on hand and can be provided on request. Amenities within the event area itself (bathrooms, food vendors etc.) will be spread several hundred metres apart within the grassed site. Patrons are encouraged to get in contact with the BLEACH* team prior to the event or make themselves known to the team on the day, who can assist in finding the best possible seating area for their specific needs.
