SWEENEY PRESTON AND ETHAN CAVANAGH
Presented by BLEACH*
The antidote to every bland lecture, dull pitch and boring presentation you’ve ever had to endure. Presentation is Everything is an hour of fast-paced stand-up comedy that is visually complemented through the medium of Microsoft PowerPoint.
This split-bill is written and performed by two of Melbourne’s fastest-rising and extravagantly overdressed comedians, Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh.
After sell-out seasons across Australia and New Zealand, including sold-out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival two years in a row, Sweeney and Ethan are now coming to BLEACH* Festival for three nights only.
Armed with outfits they can’t afford and a .ppt file they can’t attach to an email, this is a show where presentation truly is everything.
Winners of a 2023 Adelaide Fringe Festival Weekly Award and the Best Comedy Award at New Zealand’s Dunedin Fringe, Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh are making their presence in the comedy world known. Between them, they have performed internationally in Germany, the UK, Ireland, South Africa and New Zealand, and in all corners of Australia from Perth to Sydney, and Darwin to Hobart. The youngest comics to be given a monthly residency at Melbourne's famous Comedy Republic, the pair have been seen and heard on The 31st Annual Great Debate, The Festival Club, Radio New Zealand National, TVNZ, ABC Radio Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, JOY94.9, Comedy at the Espy, Up Next Comedy at Arts Centre Melbourne, RAW Comedy Vic State Final, Class Clowns National Grand Final, Season 9 of The Leak, Season 10 of Offbeat and ABC’s Stand and Deliver.
The event is a comedy work and includes audio visual material as central to the work's meaning. Content Warning - Contains mild coarse language, adult themes and sexual references,
A Quiet Zone will be available at the Broadbeach Hub for those needing a quiet and sensory friendly space away from the hustle and bustle of the festival garden.
