SHUGOREI
Presented by BLEACH*
Roll out a picnic blanket on the banks of the Nerang River for a truly unique concert series that uses the Gold Coast’s natural beauty as its stage.
Performing from a floating barge, Shugorei take you on a spine-tingling musical journey via wireless headphones. Feel the energy and emotion of the performance stretching across the water, as talented musicians serenade you into sunset.
Merging live percussion and electronics, Nozomi Omote and Thomas Green make up the adventurous musical pairing known as Shugorei. Combining Nozomi’s Japanese background and classical training, with Thomas’ electric compositions, the result is a brilliant sonic collision on stage.

This event is primarily audio based, with music and sound central to the work. The audio is delivered to the audience member via a set of wireless headphones, provided by BLEACH*.
Seating for this event is outdoors, on a grassed inclined embankment next to the Nerang River. Seating will be limited and audience members with specific seating needs should get in contact with our team to discuss how we can best accommodate their needs.
