CURIOUS LEGENDS
Presented by BLEACH*

CURIOUS LEGENDS
Presented by BLEACH*

You’re invited to dive into the depths of the aquatic realm and become a part of this moving art installation, where a colossal eight-metre stingray takes centre stage.

Prior to the show, engage in a hands-on workshop where festival-goers craft their own handheld stingrays, illuminated by cutting edge tech. As twilight descends, a symphony of light and colour set against a bespoke soundscape arises. Join the enchanting parade with your miniature stingrays gliding alongside a gathering of majestic giants, soaring pelicans and mighty mudcrabs.

Want to be part of the show?

The Curious Legends team invite you to get your hands dirty and learn how to make a Stingray light lantern and perform in the show.

This is a free workshop, suitable for kids 7+

The Fever Dream performance and selected workshops will be Auslan interpreted.
See the Accessibility section below for further details.

CURIOUS LEGENDS

Curious Legends are a theatre company that believes in the inherent wonder of the world around us. They aim to inspire kids and their adults to experience this through the magic of theatre. Their shows, workshops, and roving performances embrace laughter, magic, and the mysterious world of our imaginations.

Formed from humble beginnings in 2005, they have since grown their activities to encompass large-scale site-specific theatre, community cultural development, workshops, roving performances, and touring throughout Australia and overseas. While best known for their giant, illuminated puppets, their work encompasses a wide range of art forms, including multimedia, traditional theatre, and large-scale site-specific work.

Curious Legends are based in Newcastle, Australia, though their activities are national and international in scope.
